Iberia Airlines Baggage Allowance Policy - Iberia Airlines Cabin and Checked Luggage
When booking a flight for a holiday, many people go for low-cost airlines to save money. So, if you've ever travelled with a low-cost airline, you'll need to learn about luggage information as well as the various carry-on and checked baggage requirements.
Originally, Iberia's flying service was limited to flights inside Spain (including service to the resort of Majorca). However, beginning in 1946, Iberia established lines to London and Latin America, and eventually expanded the routes to include numerous destinations in Europe, Africa, and North and South America.
As a result, each departure point and destination has a distinct luggage policy; Iberian travellers should read the following page to learn more about baggage limitations and how to have the best holiday ever.
Iberia Airlines Overview
Iberia Airlines is Spain's national carrier and the country's largest airline, with headquarters in Madrid. On June 7, 1940, the Spanish airline was founded by law and granted the authority to carry persons and products by air inside the territory of Spain. Its main centre of operations is located at Adolfo Suárez Airport. Barcelona El Prat Airport serves as a supplementary hub to Madrid-Barajas. The airline serves roughly 15 domestic routes and over 60 foreign destinations in Europe, Asia, Africa, the Middle East, North America, and South America.
In 2011, Iberia and British Airways combined to establish the new International Airlines Group. Each airline, however, continues to operate under its own identity.
Iberia offers a diverse choice of destinations from 141 locations in Europe, America, Africa, the Middle East, and Asia, with 144 dedicated aircraft.
(With over 300 flights every week linking other airports with partner carriers.)
