Recently used my 42L Adv pro backpack for a 5 day trip from UK to Italy. Loved this back for its quality and ease of organisation. Perfect size for a carry on, so no waiting for baggage at the carousel at a busy Naples airport. Very comfortable to carry when getting around the airport and travelling by public transport. Used this in conjunction with Cabinzero packing cubes which kept everything super organised.
As my pack was a bright colour (makes it easy to identify amongst other bags) it did get some dirty marks but quick wipe over with a damp cloth and it was back to pristine condition.

Disappointed

Disappointed by the color which is very different from the picture. I thought it would be more brown. Disappointed by the shape. It looks like any backpack and is heavy. I have a few original from about 10 years ago. I should not have change of model. No time to send it back. I was leaving on the day after I received it.

Great quality bag

Looks great and the lower belt helps with carrying the weight. Good quality as I’ve come to expect from Cabin Zero. Appears a little tighter to get things into than the classic which I also have .

Great Roomy Travel Bag

Have just received this bag and looking forward to using it, appears to have lots of room for contents and strapping to hold packing cubes in place. I only wish they provided an shoulder strap to hook into the provided loops to turn this bag into a duffel.

Not as big as I thought it would be.

Lovely bag and a number of nice features but does not hold as much as you want due to the curved shape at the top. Whilst this looks good, it effectively reduces the utility. A more squared off design may be better.

Compact, stylish & on the move

This 42L bag help me a lot for my 10 days trip to Europe. Many compartment that I can seperate my necessity where I can find easily. The size can be brought via hand luggage in all airlines I flew such as Scoot Airlines and Ryan Air (with extra purchase of Priority for overhead compartnent storage). The colour is unique and I love it so much.

Good design but could be further improved

I like the back pack build quality, the materials are great and there are many good design choices. Its very light weight considering the amount of features and backplate. And it and has a reasonable price. I love the fact that the laptop is at the front and not at the back, as having the laptop at the back puts a lot of pressure on the screen from carrying it. Probably best backpack for my needs that is available but could be still improved:

1. The first major thing I would like to be improved it the opening of the main compartment. I think having the main compartment open fully open like a clam shell style would be much better than the current 2/3 opening. The 2/3 opening does not work when a laptop is inserted as it cannot fold back due to the rigid laptop. The water bottle pocket does not need to be sacrificed as it can simply be made smaller and higher to not overlap with the zipper extension.

2. The other thing that to be is a no brainer improvement is the back cover that hides the straps. That should be fully removable with a zipper all around. I don't plan to use it so I don't see why I would want to carry that extra weight. Not only that but because its not removable it fills the bottom pocket which I wanted to use instead for a rain cover. So not only I cannot carry a rain cover now but also have to carry extra weight.

3. The placement of the D rings is strange. I would have put an additional D ring at the bottom so that there would be two on both sides or at least some sort of attachement point this would allow to hang off some long objects like rolled up sleeping mat or tent at the bottom.

4. I also think the main compartment zipper could be smaller so it would be easier to operate. The current on i really think is overkill with the size. Also would prefer proper sized zipper heads at least 2cm so that you could grab them easily. I find the attached cords to the zipper not as comfortable use and not as rugged.

5. Final thing I would improve are the cords inside the main compartment. I think the elastic bands are a bit frustrating to use. They could be simply replaced by some more rigid compression belts.

I think the proposed changes could significantly improve the final design without adding much extra cost or weight.

Great feel and comfortable carry

I haven’t taken it on any trips yet but loaded it up and was able to comfortably adjust the bag to fit my 6’5” frame which I was worried I wouldn’t be able to do. The ADV can fit a wide range of heights because of the straps it has at the top. The material and build quality feel smooth and durable respectively. My 14” laptop (Lenovo Ideapad Slim 9i) actually fits in the removable frame slot and is easily accessible from the top and protected! I will say that the front pocket is quite awkward to open if you have a laptop in the intended spot however.

Awesome Backpack

Amazing backpack, great quality, convenient pockets!! It's must for travelling with curry on - best backpack! I have also the 42L ADV version but the PRO is enhanced with additional pockets which also makes it more convenient to carry a laptop and electronics.
True story: I travelled in Asia for 3+ months and I managed to put everything I needed in the ADV. Looking forward to travel with the PRO which seems to be even better.

Exactly what I needed

I wanted a mix of a daily backpack and a small suitcase and this is exactly what this product is. It is nearly perfect. I would just suggest that the internal pockets should have more dividions (to fit card, coins, documents, etc) and the bottle holder should be in both sides, but this does not compromise the quality and utility of the product.

my favorite travel nag

the bag is very sturdy and can accomodate all my stuff. very spacious and have a lot of pockets. the laptop compartment is perfectly built to keep my lappy secure.

Can't wait to try it

The material and construction seem super high quality. The storage pockets are well thought out and spacious. The backpack straps are super comfortable. Got this for some post covid traveling, can't wait to try it!

Very comfortable carrying when full. Flexible enough to use as cabin luggage or to go on a hike and it looks great doing either. If you’re thinking of buying one just stop wasting time thinking about it and buy one.

Fabulous product

Just used it on a 6-day trip from Johannesburg to Cape Town, was absolutely amazing. Quality of the product really showed itself.

Preparing Once Borders Are Open

As borders are still closed in Singapore, preping for once the borders are open will use this as my travelling compainion. I like that it hides the sholder straps and that I will be able to slide the bag to my luggage in the event that i do not want to carry this. It's not as bulky as other backpacks in the market, even with the straps hidden.

The best outdoor partner

This 42L ADV PRO Sahara Sand is very space-friendly and all my stuff can fit inside during my travel. It is also lightweight and if you want to stow it on your overhead bin, you can hide the straps and make it appear as a duffel bag. The design, too, is very stylish and it is very secure in handling my things. You can even put small padlocks on its zipper holes for added security. :)

Awesome Travel BackPack! If only...

I would start first about how fast the delivery was! It only took 4 days to be delivered here in the Philippines! I wish all online shops are the same! Thank you, Cabin Zero!
Now the bag itself—the bag is just great! Huge compartments, enough pockets for organization, every single thing was well thought of. The material used is awesome too. No complaints whatsoever. However... there are some minor quality issues with the bag I received.
1. There are some loose stitches and some are showing excess threads on the edges. Wishing, at this price range, the stitches should be clean and even.
2. One of zippers has hole or was like punctured. There is an eleveated piece of metal where it was punctured and it is sharp and it pierces through my skin everytime—somewhat not safe. I need to sand it to make it blunt.
I wish the bag was thoroughly checked before shipping them. Photos posted.
But I am happy with the bag. If only... 😉

The backpack for backpackers!!

It took me months to decide which one to buy for my upcoming Trans-Siberian trip. Im excited to finally get AdV Pro 42L as it has so much space for more food storage!! I pack light (clothes) but I pack lots of foods. The design and color look great in both urban and country trip. The zippers look thick and sturdy.

Me being minimalist, all my belongings can fit in this bag and I'm ready to live on the road for months if not years.
